DUSK'S LAMENT
Dusk does not lead the stars, they silently fade
While lost in daydreams, I yearn for dawn's embrace
Yet it lingers, elusive, beyond the horizon's shade
Awaiting the light that refuses to grace
In the absence of night's comforting hold
A chilling darkness engulfs my weary soul
No moon, no stars, their glimmer turned to cold
I stumble, dragged away, an empty scroll
Through a desolate courtyard, I wander unseen
Discovering a wound, born from whispered cries
Vain wishes I nurtured, where hope should not have been
An invisible pain, hidden from prying eyes
Alone, I dwell in sorrow's endless abyss
As dusk fails to guide the stars, I reminisce
The sky, once vibrant, now shrouded in cloud
The earth, once calm, now rages with wind's might
I close my eyes, seeking solace allowed
"What will heal this wound?" I inquire in the night
"Find light within, not from the outside's view
Let it mend this wound, with regret and grace
Leave an imprint, a lesson learned anew
Of light's importance in motion and silence's embrace"
Dusk may falter, but within me, a flame burns
I seek the healing light, for it's my turn
