ARIANTOTLE

THE SHARDS

The moonlight glimmers within his gaze

And whispering winds fail to rouse his haze

He sits in stillness, held by the night

Bound by silence, hidden from sight

The world, with its treasures falsely bright

Struck his heart and dimmed its light

It shattered, blurred his vibrant hue

And he was lost, in himself untrue

Why must fate so eagerly crush his will

That gentle heart, untainted, still?

Must he crawl, though wings are his own?

Must he see in gray, though colors are sown?

Is this the path that destiny weaves?

Like Majnun, who for Layla grieves?

A love so pure the world denied—

Is this his burden, to cast aside?

Yet even in ruins, beauty may bloom

Like gems concealed in the earth's dark tomb

Would brilliance shine if stone did not break?

Would treasure be found without heartache?

The moonlight glimmers within his gaze

And dawn now peeks through night's dark haze

He, who renounced the world’s embrace

Has found a jewel in his heart’s still space

The colors within, born from the divine

Reflect the beauty of the eternal design
